//SOBAR SMART Recovery online meetings, hosted by Meridian (formerly AIDS Action Council) every Tuesday at 5:30 pm//

SMART Recovery online meetings are based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Motivational Interviewing techniques and use evidence-based tools to empower people seeking assistance for an addiction to drugs, alcohol, gambling, cigarettes, etc.

SOBAR SMART Recovery sessions are a closed (private) meeting for LGBTIQ+ community members based in the ACT and surrounding region who are alcohol users experiencing difficulty in moderating their intake.

The meetings are free and run weekly for up to 90 minutes for up to ten participants. Each meeting is guided by a trained SMART facilitator and a counsellor.

Attendees are not required to appear on camera as the meetings are conducted using a combination of video (optional), voice, and the text chat box features.

All participants are required to register for the meetings prior to attendance to ensure the safety and privacy of all attendees.
